Cremation Services

Cremation options range from a simple cremation to a full scale full traditional funeral, with a myriad of options in between. For this reason it is very important to consult a well trained funeral professional to guide you through the many options so that you can design a cremation service which is meaningful. Below is a sample of some of the many cremation packages that Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral And Cremation Service has available.

We Own and Operate Our Own Crematory and Equipment

You may be surprised to learn that most funeral establishments do not operate the facilities in which the cremation services are provided. The actual cremations are often subcontracted out to a third party provider in another town or county. The funeral establishment has little or no control over the crematory's operating procedures and/or who performs the cremations. Our cremation equipment is state-of-the-art and equals or exceeds every state and county operating requirement and standard. Our crematory is always available for inspection.

We Have The Strictest Set of Operating Policies and Procedures

We have developed the most rigorous set of operating policies and procedures in order to maximize our level of service and minimize the potential for human error. Positive identification of the deceased is assured throughout each stage of the cremation process using a unique stainless steel ID tag system. We require licensed funeral professionals to oversee the operation of our cremation equipment at all times.

The Traditional Evening Visitation and Service

This package is the funeral that many refer to as the traditional service, however it has been tailored to meet the needs of the family who chooses cremation. It includes an evening visitation, service at the funeral home or families church, all printed materials, use of funeral home vehicles and transportation to the crematory. If the cremated remains are to be interred in a cemetery, this package also includes committal services. This service option can be designed man different ways to meet the needs of each family.

The One Day Visitation and Service

This package includes all of the services and printed merchandise included in the Traditional Package, however it has been tailored to suit the needs of families who feel more comfortable with the visitation and service being held in a single day. This package can be selected with one or two hours of visitation the morning of the funeral. Following the service the deceased is transported to the crematory.

The Morning Service

This package includes a brief open casket visitation (one half hour) for immediate family only, followed by a service which is open to all relatives and friends. This package is often chosen by families who want a chance to say a final good bye but do not want an open casket public visitation.

The Memorial Service

This option is designed for families who want a cremation service but do not desire to have the body present. The service can be held at any of our locations or the family's church. When the church is chosen as the site or choice our directors can be present in order to assist the family in set up, clean up and coordination of the service. Visitation time can be included in order for the family to receive relatives and friends. This package also may be selected with or with any of our printed merchandise.

Simple Cremation

This option is chosen by families desiring the most simplicity. Our services simply include the very basic services necessary. No services are held.

Permanent Memorialization

Keeping an Urn at Home

This is a common choice and families can select the perfect urn for their loved one.

Placing the Urn in a Columbarium (aka, a “niche”)

Many families find comfort in having a final resting place that they can visit.

Burying the Urn

Similar to a casket, the in-ground burial of the urn allows for a final resting place.

Scattering the Cremated Remains

Some families find comfort scattering the cremated remains in a place that was special to their loved one.

Parting Stones

A Clean Alternative to Cremated Remains.

Solidified remains are a complete alternative to cremated remains that allow you to live comfortably with your departed. The solidification process compresses conventional cremated remains into a beautiful collection of 40-80+ “stones” that you can hold, share, scatter, and travel with.

The appearance of each collection of solidified remains is 100% natural. People can result in different hues and textures making each set unique. Parting Stone empowers families in their grief by providing a form of remains that can be touched and held.
