Zachery J. F. Shircel

June 10, 1992 — January 15, 2024

Zachery J. F. Shircel, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2024.

Zach is survived by his girlfriend Meghan Reetz and her daughter Emma, whom he both loved very much. The two were looking forward to sharing a future together.

Loving son of James Shircel, of Wind Lake, WI, and Pamela Fischer-Shircel, of Phoenix, AZ. Cherished brother of Zoey Shircel (fiancé Nick Knoebel) of Chandler, AZ. Treasured grandson of (the late) Joseph Shircel (USAF) and Shirley Shircel and (the late) Thomas Fischer (USMC) and Caren Buehmann, of Milwaukee, WI. He is further survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Zach graduated from Muskego High School in 2010. He went on to serve in the US Army at Fort Riley as an infantryman. After leaving the Army Zach worked as a roofer and later a foreman. He was able to purchase his first home in Elkhorn, WI in 2017.

Zachery enjoyed hunting, both bow and rifle, and fishing, and was able to Hunt at Ted Nugent's Sunrize Safaris 4 times.

Earlier in life Zach played both soccer and basketball in school. He played Tenor Sax in the Marching Band as a freshman. He also played guitar in 7th through 9th grade in a band called Everything In All. Zach was a fantastic musician and could play any instrument he was given.

Zach enjoyed visiting the Shircel Family Cottage in Wind Lake where he had fun jet skiing, water skiing and fishing with family. He enjoyed playing Cribbage with his grandparents growing up. He was a wonderful big brother to his sister Zoey and helped her become a phenomenal soccer player.

Zach’s mother, Pam, was able to take him to many special events while she was a Sr. Sale Rep for WMYX in Milwaukee. This was always a favorite for him.

Zach’s father Jim taught him the art of hunting that Jim learned from his father and grandfather.

He was very proud of his mother Pam when she became Mrs. Wisconsin International 2000 and he made sure everyone knew.

Zachery was a loving and kind person to everyone. He will be missed dearly.

Zachery always said he just wanted to be known and remembered as a good person, which he definitely was.

A visitation will be held on Saturday January 27th, 2024 at MAX A. SASS & SONS WESTWOOD CHAPEL, W173 S7629 Westwood Dr. Muskego, WI 53150 from 10am until the time of funeral service at 12pm, which will include Military Honors. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
