Born on June 5, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, William's life was characterized by devotion to his family, service to his country, and a steadfast work ethic.
William grew up in the bustling city of Milwaukee, where he developed a strong sense of duty and community that would remain with him throughout his life. After completing his education, he honorably served in the United States Army, where he learned the values of discipline and commitment. These values carried over into his civilian life when he began his career with the local phone company. Over the course of 37 years, William's dedication and hard work became well-known and respected among his colleagues and within the industry.
In his personal life, William was a loving and devoted husband to his late wife, Diane Schmidt, for 32 beautiful years. Their partnership was a testament to mutual respect and affection, and their memories together remained a source of comfort to William after Diane's passing. He is survived by his sister, Susan (the late Ronald) Bekken, as well as his brother, Michael (Carolyn), further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
