Schiesser, William R. "Bill" Age 82, passed away following a brief illness. He was surrounded by family. Loving husband of over 59 years to Marilyn (Nee O'Kane). Beloved Dad of John and Eric (Sara) Schiesser. Proud grandpa of Kevin, Scott, Benjamin and Devin. Dear brother-in-law to Joyce O'Kane. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Bill served 2 years in the Army during the Korean Conflict stationed at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. He was also a longtime employee of Astronautics Corporation of America as supervisor of receiving and inspection. Bill was a former Commissioner of Greendale Twi-Nite baseball and a longtime coach. Bill served as supervisor for the Greendale Birdhouse Workshop, and was still making bird houses with Jim Sheridan right up to the end. He had a deep love of aviation and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He will be remembered for his unlimited talents, which included making model airplanes and stained glass lamps. He will be sadly missed. Memorial gathering in the Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Wounded Warriors Project or to Faith Presbyterian Church.
