Bill was a man of many passions and talents. An avid traveler and Francophile, he found joy in experiencing different countries and languages and especially loved the mountains of Colorado. His affinity for dogs blossomed after his marriage to Jan, leading him to declare that he would always have a dog by his side. Earlier in life, Bill enjoyed playing tennis and was a skilled skier in the winter and mid-distance runner year-round. He often said that there was no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear.
His creative talents were expressed through his photography, woodworking, and guitar playing. He touched many lives through his humor and ability to become friends with anyone he met. Bill’s warmth and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love and adventure will be cherished by his family and friends forever.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church (W173 S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego, WI) on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Gathering time will be from 11:30AM-1:15PM with the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Milwaukee Humane Society
