Warren F. Vergiels

Of Greenfield, formally of Milwaukee, died peacefully in his sleep on September 16, 2016 at the age of 82. Son of the late Fred and Ella Vergiels. Devoted husband to the late Donna (nee Goeb). Loving father of Rev. Christopher (Darcy), Jeffrey (Anne), Julie (Russ) DeLong, and Michael. Loving grandpa to Amanda, Warren, Charity, Stephen, Corrina, Zachery (Ariana), Carley, Taylore, Sarrah DeLong and Myles. Dear brother of Lois (Ralph) Geiger. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Warren worked 38 years at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance until his retirement at age 55. He then became a loving caregiver to his wife Donna until her death. Warren found joy going to Wilson Park Senior Center for his daily lunch. There he made many friends and sat at the table where they solved the world's problems and was known as the captain. Warren's greatest love and joy was his family. Warren was an amazing father and the best grandpa. Visitation to be held at KING OF GLORY LUTHERAN CHURCH (4330 S. 84 St., Greenfield) on Saturday September 24 from 9-10:45AM. Service at 11AM. Private burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
