Walter Francis Naniot

Walter F. Naniot Walter Francis Naniot, 73, passed away peacefully at his Greenfield, WI home on January 31, 2021. Walter “Wally” was born on May 17, 1947 in Oconto, WI to parents Francis and Dorothy Naniot. In 1965, Wally proudly joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, he earned a Sharpshooter and two Purple Heart awards, and was Honorably Discharged in 1971. Shortly after serving, Wally moved to the Milwaukee area where he met, and married, his beloved wife of 44 years, Jerri. He worked over 40 years for Rexnord Corp, and Rexworks, before retiring in 2010. Wally was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. While he thoroughly enjoyed retirement, he loved the family that surrounded him, most of all. He is survived by his wife, sons Dan (Angie) and Marty (Jane), daughter Nicki (Darren House), and grandchildren Ty, Nate, Sam, Maddie, Molly, Meadow and Sydney. He is also survived by his brothers Larry (Linda) and Steve Naniot. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael “Satch” Naniot, and sister Margo Franks. A Memorial Visitation is scheduled at the MAX A SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. Greenfield on Thursday, February 11 2021 from 5pm to 7pm with a Eulogy service at 7pm. Walter will be given a formal military funeral at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
