W. Martin Read, 76, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Born on November 28, 1947, to the late David and Betty (Albro) Read. Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Louise. Loving father of Terri (Jeff) Baudoin, Mark (Stacy) Read, caring grandfather of Roman, Maci, Mitchell, and Georgianna. Further survived by his siblings Polly (Steve) Gerber, Mary (Daniel) Wichman, in-laws Ann (Wayne) Hansen, Karen (Gary) Felkner, Robert (Carolyn) Hanizeski, Chris (Marcia) Hanizeski, Michael (Emily) Hanizeski, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Martin was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Read.


Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Martin’s name to a charity of your choice.
