Kraker, Violet D. (Nee Babka). Violet was born in Oconto County on March 7, 1922 and passed away on December 15, 2015. She was a resident of Muskego from 1971 to 2011 and most recently lived at Harbour Village in Greendale. Violet was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Lawrence Kraker, who died in 2001; her parents John and Mary Babka; her brothers James, William and Lawrence and her sister Maureen Krauter. She was a 1939 graduate of Oconto Falls High School and a 1944 graduate of Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing. Violet was active in District, State and National Nurses Associations. She served two terms as president of the Milwaukee County Hospital Nurses Alumni Association and was on the Board of Directors for 20 years. Violet directed the first nurse run tuberculosis clinic in Milwaukee County. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Artice Babka of Black River Falls, Connie Zupan of Florida and Audrey of Greendale. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at ST. LEONARD CATHOLIC CHURCH (W173S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego) on Saturday, December 19 from 10-10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
