Veronica “Ronni” Ruth Parris, born in Marquette, Michigan to Francis and Ruth Garceau in 1943, left this World peacefully on April 25, 2024.
Graduating as valedictorian of her class with a Math degree from Northern Michigan University, her career interests led her to earn a Masters degree in Math Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a highly respected Teacher at Oak Creek High School, Ronni brought new ideas into the classroom, preparing her students for college prep and technical career paths.
Loving wife to Tom and mother to Jennifer, Bridget, and Andrew, she imparted the values of integrity, dedication and industriousness to her children and students.
Ronni was an organizer at heart and made many friends in Greendale, and in retirement in Sun City Grand, Arizona, while pursuing her infinite love for tennis and pickleball.
Veronica Ruth Parris inspired those around her to live with intention and to embrace every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
Ronni leaves behind her beloved husband, Tom, children Jennifer Dubis, Bridget Parris, and Andrew (Abbey) Parris, grandchildren Amanda Dubis, Madison Dubis and Ace Parris, siblings Fran (Jim) Gray, Mary Grobar, Jim Garceau, Doug (Allison) Garceau, and sister-in-law Chris Garceau. Ronni was preceded in death by her parents, brother Phil Garceau and brother-in-law Gary Grobar.
A celebration of Ronni's life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W Loomis Rd., Greendale) where she embraced her role as church choir director and singer for many joyful years. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the hour of Funeral service at 11:00 AM with lunch to follow.
