Morrissey, Vernettia J. Found peace on September 12, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mom of John, Susan (the late Fred) Leyva, Penny (Mark) Eppel of Pontiac, IL, Mary Nolinske, David and the late William (Monica). Proud grandmother of Shawn and Chris Morrissey; Sarah (David) Gomez, Leslie (John) Foti, Abby (John) Rinker, Andrew, Luke and Max Eppel and Samuel Nolinske. Cherished great grandmother of Sophie, Chloe, Anthony, J.T., Leo, Noah, Dylan and Jaxson. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service Thursday 7 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. Visitation Thursday 4-7 pm. Entombment Arlington Park Cemetery. Vernettia's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Clement Manor Daycare, Horizon Hospice Caregivers Katie, Patty, Carly and Kim and Visiting Angels, Jackie, Laura and Sharon for all their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
