Books, Vern Age 91, January 12, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Nellie (nee Schaefer). Loving father of the late Barbara (Ken) Flottmeier, John, Steve (Nancy), Jerry (Cathy), the late Jean Books, and Kathy Books. Dear grandpa of John, Jane and Beth Flottmeier; Greg Books and Kirstin Seale; Charity, Zachary and Courtney Books; John, Joe and Nellie Dudzek, Stephanie and Becky Skiles; Erika Books and Sean, Matt and Scott Wachowiak. Dear great-grandfather of 16 wonderful great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sister Lea Killion and his brother Bobby. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Vern was known for his sense of humor and for making people smile. Private family services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
