She could often be found cheering them on, a testament to her enduring spirit and love for the game. Verla's interests extended beyond the roar of stadiums; she found solace and joy in the simple pleasure of fishing from the pier on Wind Lake with Norb, where the tranquility of nature was a source of constant renewal.
Verla's hands were rarely still, as she found immense joy in knitting and crocheting. Each stitch was a symbol of her love, and she gifted countless pieces to those she held dear, wrapping her loved ones in the warmth of her affection. She also gifted many pieces to charity.
