Vera Jean Stolberg

September 20, 1935 — March 30, 2018

Stolberg, Vera Jean (nee Meyer-Moriarity) Passed away on March 30, 2018 at her home surrounded and lovingly supported by her family and friends. Vera was the loving mother of Therese (David) Johnson, Timothy (Natasha) Moriarity and Ross (Gayle) Moriarity. Proud grandmother of Eric (Mary) Johnson, Aaron (Sarah) Johnson, Andrew Moriarity, Nicole (Luke) Wagner, Kirk (Stacy) Johnson and Karyn Radke. Additionally, she also has four great-grandchildren, Arthur Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Stephanie Leonard and Jake Radke plus two great-great grandchildren, Abigail and Joshua Leonard. She is further survived by two brothers, Lowell (Ruth) Meyer and John (Dari) Meyer, plus one sister Carolyn Malmberg and a God-daughter, Kristen (Christopher) Haux. Vera was blessed by an extended family of dear and faithful nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Stolberg, and her parents, Walter and Ida Meyer of Marengo, WI. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marian (Cecil) Martin, Violet (Robert) Knoll, Lorraine (William) Peterson and Sylvia (John) McKinley. Her brothers Donald (Lois) Meyer, Calvin (Naida) Meyer, Gerald (Sharon) Meyer, Vernon (Vera) Meyer, Charles Meyer, Dean (Myrna) Meyer and Ralph (Kay) Meyer. She attended Ashland High School and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She was an administrative employee of Greyhound Lines for 30 years; sales associate at Boston Store; Music Director at Jobs Daughters; Bethel 8; Volunteer at the Pabst Mansion for more than 30 years; both a deacon and an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, a member of the Coalition Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Freedon, American Legion Auxiliary Post 416 Greendale and Greyhound Retreads/Northland Greyhound Regional Association. Treasured leisure time was enjoyed mostly with family, but she also spent time playing with her card club, playing the piano, various needlework, oil painting and watching and cheering for all manners of sport, especially the Milwaukee Brewers. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4-7 PM. The funeral service will take place Wednesday at Grace Presbyterian Church (2931 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee, WI) at 10 AM. Max A. Sass and Sons - Mission Hills Chapel
