Valerie Jean Jurkowski (nee Moslavac) known fondly as Val, passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on June 13, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love and care of her family in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Val was the cherished wife of the late Mark Jurkowski, whose memory she held close to her heart after his passing. She was a beloved sister to Nora (Pete) Guerrero, Cheryl (Late Bryan) Hoff, and half-brother Gary (Maria) Moslavac. Val's warmth and generosity also touched the lives of her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, friends, and former co-workers who will miss her dearly.
Val was a creative soul who found joy and solace in arts and crafts. She enjoyed creating beautiful crafts that brought color and joy to the lives of those around her. Gardening was another of Val's loves, friends and family were often the recipients of her bountiful harvests, as well as the delicious treats that emerged from her kitchen. Baking and cooking were more than just hobbies for Val; they were expressions of her love and care for others. Those who knew Val will remember her as a loving, funny, and thoughtful person. Her laughter was infectious, and her sense of humor brought light to even the darkest of days. Val's thoughtfulness was evident in the way she remembered the little details about people, making them feel seen and appreciated. Val will be remembered for her enduring love for her family and her generous spirit. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to many, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Valerie Jean Jurkowski lived a life marked by love, laughter, and kindness. Her legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind, as they cherish the memories of the times they shared. Her spirit, a gentle and nurturing force, will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and the many lives she touched with her grace and goodwill. As the sun sets on Val's earthly journey, we take comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of purpose and joy. Her laughter, her crafts, and the taste of her lovingly prepared meals will remain with us, imprinted on our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Val, until we meet again.
