Timothy P. Moynihan

April 20, 1932 — November 11, 2016

"Tim" Born in Chicago to Timothy and Virginia Moynihan. He had 1 older sister, Marylou (Jack) Reagan and 1 younger sister Virginia (Dick) Edgeworth both have proceeded him to Heaven, along with his first wife Joyce (nee Hinsberger), mother of his seven children, and one son Timothy Francis (Connie Caine). Survived by his six other children, Therese, Sue (Tom) Paulson, Steve, Patricia, Paul (Gail) and Nora (Brett) Lepak. Tim remarried the second love of his life Dorothy (nee Becker, formerly Hennessy) in 1986. With Dorothy came an additional seven step-children Mary (Lee) Moritz, Jim (Heidi), Patrick (Nikki), Linda (Jerry), Mark (Chris), Sue and Joe (Margaret). Tim loved being a grandparent to all of their grandchildren; Amanda (Larry) Huissen, Cara, Meaghan, Joe, Matt, Dan, Ayden, Lily, Gabe, Ben, Maggie, Omri, Kelly, Molly, Michael, Caroline, Zack, Linda, Alex, Ryan, Connor, Brady and Jack and 4 great-grandchildren Sophia, Trinity, Abigail and Adalynn. He loved spending time with them, playing with them and teaching them. He always loved staying with them up at the "cottage" and gardening. He usually had a balloon in his pocket for them when they were little. He was in the Army during the Korean Conflict and married Joyce, shortly after meeting her, while on leave after meeting her when he crashed a wedding. When he returned, he went to college in Champagne, IL, where his first two children were born, and became an architectural engineer. He moved to Greendale and worked for Collins & Co. and then Py-Vavra until 1974 when he started his own business, Woods-Moynihan, with partner Rich Woods. Dad loved to garden, camp and travel, take pictures and keep journals. There are many stories of him leaving his glasses somewhere or stopping in the middle of the road to get the perfect picture. He also road his bike as much as he could. Dorothy and Tim did cross word puzzles almost everyday. Tim was in the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Alphonsus Church for over 50 years. He was always helping others, with the bread runs for Brother Booker T. Ash and St. Bens and walked for cancer causes whenever he could. He tutored math in Milwaukee up until he was 80 years old. With his passing now, we can all read the stories he has written over the years, maybe we can even write a book! Dad will be missed by many, including his wife, children, step-children, grandchildren, great-granddaughters, nieces, nephews, in-laws and the children he was teaching math to. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Monday, November 14 from 4 6:30 PM. Prayer service at 6:30 PM. Additional visitation on Tuesday, November 15 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
