Timothy C. Kruse, aged 77, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on September 1, 2024. Born on January 4, 1947, in New Berlin, Wisconsin, Timothy was a beacon of selflessness, wisdom, and thoughtfulness throughout his life. His gentle soul and kind heart touched everyone he met, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Timothy graduated from Brookfield High School and carried with him a lifelong passion for learning, especially in history, which was evident in his extensive reading. He was a man of many interests, but perhaps none so profound as his love for collector cars. His enthusiasm for car shows, model cars, and auto racing brought him joy and a sense of community as he shared this passion with friends and fellow enthusiasts.
Above all, Timothy was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Kruse (nee Kolstad), with whom he shared 53 wonderful years. He was the proud father of Jerry (Jess) and the late Tommy, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren Gage, Skyler, Maelyn, and the late Makenna. Timothy's legacy as a family man is further reflected in the lives of his late siblings, the late Neal (Charmaine) and the late Doris (the late Jim) Gureski, and his role as an uncle to Roxanne, Warren, Patrick, Nancy, and Susan. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Bonnie (Gene) Sayles, and was a brother-in-law to the late Judy (the late Tom) Przybylski, Donna (the late Keith) Blakemore, Jackie (Vic) Sloviak, Debbie (Mike) Krizan, Allen (former wife Laura) Kolstad, Mark (Beth) Kolstad, and Kathy (Tim) Ewy. His warmth and guidance will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Known for his sage advice and quiet contemplation, Timothy often shared words of wisdom with those around him. Reflecting on his approach to life, one is reminded of the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Timothy lived by this creed, always seeking to ease the burdens of others and make a positive impact on the world.
Timothy's life was one of dedication—to his family, his hobbies, and his community. His presence was a comforting constant, and his guidance was sought by many. He navigated life's challenges with grace and humility, and his resilience was an inspiration to all who knew him.
As we bid farewell to Timothy C. Kruse, we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the countless ways in which he enriched our lives. His memory will be held dear in the hearts of all who loved him, and his spirit will continue to guide us. May we honor his memory by embodying the kindness, generosity and wisdom he exemplified every day.
Private family services will be held. Memorials to Children's Hospital if so desired.
