Timothy Alan "Tim" Willms of Milwaukee, WI passed away surrounded by his loved ones on February 12, 2024, at the age of 57. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife and best friend Michelle of 32 happy years. He is loved by his children Samantha (Brandon) Ringwolski, Michael and Katie, and by his "Papa's Girls" granddaughters Madeline and Rosalie. Tim was born to Carol and the late Robert Willms on September 20, 1966. He was the brother of Dan (Michelle) Willms , Mary Zarate, and Brenda (Garrett) Butenhoff, and married into the Norbert Sr. and Darlene Woyak family. He was an important part of the lives of countless family and friends.
Tim was best known for being an all-around great person and his willingness to do anything for anyone. He was always taking care of everyone around him, and his family was his whole world. His spunky sense of humor could truly lighten the room and his corny jokes would make your day. He and Michelle built an amazing life together built on a foundation of selfless love and care, values they passed on to their kids and grandkids.
He enjoyed many things including traveling with his family, having been all over the country, Canada and Europe. He loved working on classic cars with his brother and son, especially the 1965 Chevelle that he and Michael shared. He was an expert at home remodeling, handyman projects, trivia, and was a wealth of knowledge that he was not afraid to share. His dad instilled a love of the outdoors in him, and his happy place was his cabin up north where he spent time hunting, fishing, boating and utv riding with his own sons. His conquests included deer, turkey, bears, and all types of game fish that he brought home to fill the walls.
Tim was a New Berlin Special Olympics basketball coach where he touched many lives through care, compassion, patience and positivity. He worked hard in his adult life to finish college and enjoyed his job at Airgas for the challenges and the great friendships he made.
He took pride in every part of his life, but his family always meant the most to him. Being a Dad and Papa was his most important job, and he was the best at it. Tim will be missed every day by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Tim and his family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital for their excellent care. Please help us share our wonderful memories, stories, and photos in remembrance of Tim's life and legacy.
