Thomas L. Sneed Sr.

April 10, 1943 — March 1, 2024

Thomas L. Sneed Sr., of Greendale WI, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2024 at the age of 80 after a recent health issue. Tom is survived by his beloved wife Pauline, son Thomas Jr./Todd (Kelly), daughter Elizabeth (Anthony) and stepchildren Athena (John), John (Mary) and Tamara (James). Tom was blessed with grandchildren Allison and Alexander, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Tom is also survived by three loving sisters Sarah, Louise (Guy), MeMe and brother-in-law Jim (Patti). He is preceded in death by his wife Karin (Anderson) Sneed.


Tom was born and raised in the small town of Mt. Sterling Missouri where he attended a one room schoolhouse from first through eighth grade. He graduated from Owensville High School in 1961. Tom continued his education at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) and graduated from Drury College.


After graduation, Tom took a job with Mobil Oil in Milwaukee. Soon after, he met his first wife Karin. They settled in Greendale to raise their family. When Mobil Oil relocated, Tom purchased a small dry cleaner in Hales Corners. Later, in 1977, he purchased Wolf’s Dry Cleaners and Laundry. Tom successfully ran his business and in 1993 transitioned the business to his son and daughter.


After many years together, Tom married Pauline on leap day 2020. They were fortunate to recently celebrate their “first” wedding anniversary.


Over the years, Tom thoroughly enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing and watching his beloved Milwaukee Brewers. He loved spending time with family and friends. To know Tom was to love him. He made a lasting impression with everyone he met. Tom was an active member of Greendale Jaycees and member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.


Visitation will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (6705 Northway Greendale WI) on March 16th, 2024 from 1-3pm followed by a Christian service at 3pm. Memorials can be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association in Tom’s honor.


Tom will be greatly missed by his friends and family for his generosity and fun-loving nature.
