Thomas G. Hauke (1943-2024)

Thomas G. Hauke, of Muskego, WI passed away peacefully July 30,2024 at the age of 80 after a courageous battle with dementia, surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their best lives to the fullest. Tom is now reunited with his loving wife Diane once again after 19 years.

Tom was born in Milwaukee in 1943 to Chester and Dorothy Hauke.

Tom attended Boy’s Tech High School and soon began dating his sweet Diane who attended Pulaski High School. In 1964, Tom took Diane Lynn Buretta as his bride. They started their family and eventually moved to Muskego in 1987 to their dream home.

Tom worked for Loop cartage for 10 years as a truck driver before starting his own snow removal and landscaping business. Together, Tom and Diane grew the business and added a flower shop which is still in business today. Tom’s greatest pride was waking up in the morning and going to work with Diane for 40 years.

Some of Tom’s greatest memories were traveling to Las Vegas with Diane several times a year, he loved the slots! And if you know Tom, you know he had a love of music and dancing. Tom never missed the chance to “cut a rug” and always be the first one to hit the dance floor. It was no secret that Tom loved animals, especially his grand dogs. He enjoyed pampering them and taking them for walks at the park every chance he could.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Mike (Susie) Hauke, Lori Van Ells (Rich), Tom (Sharan) Hauke. Grandchildren: Nate (Lexie), Matt (Sophia), Alex (MyKaela), Anna (Alex), Tori (Derek) & the late Jordan. Great grandchildren: Ava, Amelia, Kalum & Brooklyn. Sister: Barbara (Jim) Doerfer, Sister-in-law: Bonnie Evers and many extended family and friends.

Tom’s family would like to extend their extreme gratitude to the following during Tom’s journey these past months. Badger Hospice nurses and aides & the complete staff at Caring Alternatives in Muskego – There were many, but they all made Tom feel special.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:45 AM Monday, August 5th at ST. LEONARD CATHOLIC CHURCH (W173S7743 Westwood Dr, Muskego, WI 53150), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am.
