Purple Heart Emblem Gurzynski, Theodore S. "Ski" Beloved husband for 48 years of Marian (nee Sanfelippo). Loving father of Theodore "Ted" (Kathy). Proud grandfather of Jill Meraz, Paul (Amy) Gurzynski and Laura (Nick) Weiss. Great grandfather of Adan, Eva, Theo and Felix. Dear son of the late John and the late Mary. Brother of the late siblings; Bill, Joe, Mary, Cappy, Jane, John, Harry and Betty. Visitation Saturday 8:30-10:15 am at St. Alphonsus Church (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Private interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Ted proudly served his country in the US Navy during WW II and volunteered for PT Boat duty. He participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf (the largest naval battle in the Pacific Theatre). His PT Boat 493 was sunk on October 24, 1944 and he was awarded a combat Purple Heart. He loved going to Potawatomi Casino and playing the blackjack tables. He was an avid bowlerbowling twice a week in two leagues at the age of 95. A heartfelt appreciation to the staff of St. Ann Rest Home for their wonderfully compassionate care.
