Lien, Thelmer M. ''Gator'' Resident of Plant City, FL, formerly of Cudahy. Found peace on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 80. Devoted partner of Joanne Weeks. Loving father of Kathryn(Jeff)Tyler, Terese(Ted)Morden, Robin, Barry, Jeffrey(Jill) and Michelle(Richard)Burdick. Former spouse of Marian Lien. Proud grandfather of Bonnie, David, Kristin, Benjamin, Brieanne, Lindsey, Drew, Nicole, Ryan and Jessica. Brother of Esther Vold, Ingvold Lien and Verna Loiland. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Margaret Lien, his brothers Arnold, Lawrence and Ernest and his sister Inez Winger. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 24 from 9:30-10:30 AM. Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Good Hope Cemetery, with full Military Honors, to follow. Thelmer was born in Hillhead, SD and grew up in Pinewood, MN. He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea, where he received the Purple Heart and Silver Star for valor and bravery. He retired from Ladish Co.
