Terry Lee Schmidt

Terry Lee Schmidt Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 31,1946, Terry was born to eternal life in his home in Starr, SC. on August 20, 2021 at the age of 74 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran who received a Purple Heart during his service in the Army. He moved to Starr, SC in 2006 after retiring from the State of Wisconsin Department of Correction as a prison guard for many years. He was also a member of the Iva Pentecostal Holiness church. He is survived by his son, Charles F. Schmidt; sister, Rebecca E. Anderson; plus grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Schmidt (Collins); brother, Thomas Schmidt; ex-wife Teri J. Faust; and his beloved dog, Angel. Terry loved God and his country. He was a strong supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Red Cross, and the Disabled Veterans organizations. Donations in his memory would be appreciated. Terry will be be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
