Terrence Wayne Schmeichel was buried in Highland Memorial Park, following a private ceremony at Max A. Sass. Terry was born March 27, 1953 and as a child lived at 3356 South 58th St. in Milwaukee. He was the son of Walter W. Schmeichel and Elaine (Brix) Schmeichel. He graduated from Hamilton High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After school he joined the Air Force and continued his education at Pennsylvania State, studying meteorology. Continuing in the Air Force, he served in California, Texas, Nebraska and overseas in Germany as a senior meteorologist and trainer with the rank of Captain. After the Air Force he joined the National Weather Service and worked in the San Diego California area. He continued to live there until his passing. Terry loved to read, continued his education with courses at San Diego State University, and enjoyed working the sound system at his local church in El Cajon, California. He is survived by his brother, Dennis Schmeichel, sister-in-law Barbara, cousins, Sharon Shakula and “Bud†Zeisberger, best friend Janice Agnello, and many of his childhood friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elaine and father Walter. No more insulin, no more dialysis, no more pain. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
