Susan "Sue" Coulson, nee Wojszko, a cherished mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 26, 2024, in her hometown of Milwaukee. Sue’s 78 years of life were marked with unwavering laughter and sass which brightened the lives of those around her. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sue's family was the center of her world. Sue’s enduring love story with her husband Bob W. Coulson spanned nearly six decades, which is a testament to their deep commitment and affection for one another. Though her son Rob Coulson preceded her in death, she leaves behind a loving legacy through her daughter Dena (Jeff) Jasinski. Grandchildren: Christopher (Abby), Nathan and Danielle (Max). Sue was joyously anticipating the arrival of a great granddaughter due this April.
Sue was a graduate of Pulaski High School. Her professional journey as an Administrative Assistant at Potawatomi spanned over two decades. Sue's nurturing spirit shone through her work, as she played a pivotal role in the growth and success of her team members, often infusing her motherly instincts into her professional relationships. She retired July 2023, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and kindness.
Beyond her professional life, Sue was a woman of many passions. She and Bob shared a passion for travel. They made biannual trips to Las Vegas, where she found joy in the sounds and lights of the slot machines. Sue's fondness for a good brandy and diet coke was matched by her talent for creating candy bouquets, which she generously shared with friends and family. Her home was a hub of warmth and celebration, often filled with the laughter and camaraderie of many house parties either in the backyard or their basement.
Sue's community involvement was nothing short of inspiring. She was a familiar face at church festivals, volunteering with a smile and an unmatched energy. St Fair and St Martins Fair were among her favorites to attend, where she could be spotted enjoying the festivities with her flask or pocket shots in tow.
As we bid farewell to Sue, we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives. Her laughter, her sassiness, and her unwavering friendship will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Sue's spirit, much like the twinkling lights of a slot machine, will continue to shine brightly in the fond recollections of her with family and friends.
Sue’s life will be celebrated in a private ceremony surrounded by her immediate family. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well lived. Sue’s memory will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her remarkable spirit.
