Susan Kaczmarek

August 1, 1945 — April 13, 2022

Susan L Kaczmarek (Nee Evinrude), age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Sue was born on August 1,1945 to Roland & Mary Louise (nee Dallas) Evinrude. She married Greg Kaczmarek in 1979, who has been Sue’s best friend, soul mate and life partner. Sue attended West Allis Central High School in West Allis and graduated from Marquette University, with a Master’s in Library Science from UW-Milwaukee. She worked at Northwest Photo and the Oak Creek Public Library. Sue enjoyed spending as much time as possible at their cottage near Wautoma and had been enjoying her retirement years in her much loved home in Franklin. Sue loved photography, reading and her book club. She enjoyed watching Marquette Basketball, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Packers. Together, Sue and Greg enjoyed their weekend retreat in Wautoma, road trips around the U.S. to visit the wonderful national parks and long nature drives. She especially loved dogs, particularly her Bella and Sadie. Sue is survived by her husband, Greg Kaczmarek, her sister, Sister Patricia Evinrude, SSND, her cousins Jeff Colson & Judy Pierner, brother-in-law Tom Oelmann, sister-in-law Mary (nee Kaczmarek) and John Moser, brother-in-law Dave and Tina (Jensen) Kaczmarek and her sister-in-law Diana Gallegos (nee Kaczmarek). She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews, and many other beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Roland and Mary Louise (nee Dallas) Evinrude, her father and mother in-law Roy and Ellie (nee Ramponi) Kaczmarek, sister-in-law Marty (nee Kaczmarek) Oelmann, and other much loved aunts and uncles. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S 116th Street, Franklin, WI) on Friday April 22 with visitation from 10-10:45AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Entombment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Linden Grove, New Berlin, for their kindness and care for Sue.
