Stanley Albert Flink Of Greendale, Wisconsin, passed away at his home January 29, 2021, aged 99 years. Born into a large Polish family in Stevens Point, Stan spent his early years working on the family farm. He spent many long hours plowing behind a team of horses. He enjoyed reminiscing about those days, including the weekly barn dances. He loved Polka music and became an excellent dancer. After moving to Greendale in 1956, Stan enlisted the help of his brother-in-law, architect Ray Prell, and they built the house in which he would raise his family and live for the next 65 years. Situated on a corner lot, it faces the park where the Greendale Fourth of July fireworks display takes place. He often marveled at his luck at being able to enjoy such a beautiful view from his breakfast table. Stan was an expert machinist, spending most of his career at Singer Controls and retiring in 1987. He and his wife Clara, along with friends, traveled the United States in their custom craft van. They visited 48 States together. For his 90th birthday, Stan was able to cross Alaska off his list when his sons took him on his first cruise. He also enjoyed playing cards (and beating everyone up to his last days) and he had many trophies for golfing. A man of deep faith, he was a lifelong parishioner and volunteer at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greendale, Through the years he and Clara enjoyed the friendship of their dear friends from this congregation. His greatest happiness was spending time with his large circle of family and friends. He lent a helping hand whenever needed and would do everything from home repair and remodeling to babysitting. He hosted epic Fourth of July celebrations and the family cherishes those days. He was dependable, good humored, loving and non-judgmental. In short, a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed. Stan is the cherished father to Kenneth (Robin) Flink and Clifford Flink. Loving grandfather to Dennis (Holly) Flink, Duane Flink, Donna Flink, Kimberly (John) Skagerlind and Matthew Flink. Great-grandfather to Holly, Nathan, Dylan, Jacob, Dana and Robert. Loving brother to Clarence. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his devoted wife Clara (nee Przybylski) of 60 years, infant son Jimmy, parents Michael and Anna Flisakowski, brothers and sisters Grace, Chet, Evelyn, Amel and Richard. Visitation on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the MAX A SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL, Greenfield from 930am to 1030am. Funeral Mass to follow at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6060 W.
