Sophie 'Sue' S. Sibinski

SIBINSKI, SOPHIE (Sue) Born in Milwaukee on January 23, 1921. [Age: 99.5 years] Our special little nugget slipped away in her home peacefully on Friday, August 14th with her caretakers at her bedside just 162 days shy of her 100th birthday. Sue was a special lady dripping sweetness with everyone she met by being prayerful, kind, thoughtful, loving and appreciative even in her last hour of life. Sue retired from the audit department at Gimbels in 1983 and in her retirement years Sue continued her love for reading books, piano playing, listening to music, big screen movie watching and knowing every detail about Hollywood’s actors and actresses. Sue was known for her recollection of birth-dates, marriage dates and children’s names of all her family members and her favorite Hollywood stars. The combination of numbers and repetition meant for a great memory, even at age 99. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Matthew Sibinski, Ted Sibinski (Sibins), Helen Sibinski and Estelle Schwender. She will be deeply missed by her grand nieces and nephews and everyone who knew her. Be at peace Aunt Sue; till we see your sweet smile again. Forever in our hearts and minds.
