Siso K. Saraina

September 15, 1937 — September 14, 2024

Sardarni Baksheesh Kaur Saraina (Siso), 86 years of age, departed this earth on September 14th, 2024, to join her creator in heaven and her late husband Sardar Sadhu Singh Sariana 60 years after his passing. Siso was born on September 15th, 1937, to her late parents Narjan Singh and Udham Kaur Thiara in Kaleera, Punjab, India. She had three loving brothers, two late brothers Lamber Singh Thiara and Gurnak Singh Thiara. She is survived by her brother Nachhattar Singh Thiara, one son, two daughters, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Siso made her journey to the United States in 1985 to be with her children and raise her grandkids. She was affectionally known by everyone in Milwaukee and Chicago as ‘Bibi’. Her kindness and generosity were always on display. She lived a life full of love and dedication to Waheguru. Siso was devoted to her family and made everyone feel welcome. Her warmth, wisdom and endless love for her great-grandchildren touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Siso’s memory was sharp to the moment she left for Saavarag. She always remembered everyone’s birthdays and milestones. Bibi had the ability to weave stories from her childhood into any moment. These memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Siso had many talents to include cooking and knitting. Her knitting ability was superior to anyone; unprecedent patterns and keen on details to match the individuals’ personalities. She would knit hats, gloves and sweaters regardless of occasion. She always knew how to make you feel special.

Her greatest strength was her resiliency from a young age. She raised a family without her late husband. She faced life’s hardships with courage and unbreakable spirt thanks to Waheguru. We are all inspired and grateful for the impact she had on all of us.
