Shirley J. Berres

Berres, Shirley J. (nee Barker) One of Heaven's Angels who returned home on September 25, 2011. She loved her God, her family and her friends. The beloved wife of her husband Frank, and a devoted mother to Terrence (Karen), Richard, Robert (Kim Davitz) and the late Michael Berres. Shirley is also survived by three sisters: Colleen Abbrederis, Lela Kossow, DeAnna (Frank) Emmett, and one brother: Wayne Barker. Others that she had to leave and so deeply loved are her grandchildren: Jacqueline Berres, Robby Berres, Megan Berres, Caitlin Berres, Cassi Berres, Aimee Woda, Paul Berres and Tim Berres. There are also great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends whom she cherished, adored and loved. Finally, one of the truelly interesting things about Shirley Berres is that although she had an educational background that enabled her to become quite successful in several business ventures, her greatest interest and love was that of a wife and mother. Everything else was secondary. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29 from 4-7pm with a Vigil Service at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., at 10am. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Max A.
