Severin J Kranz

Kranz, Severin J. Somewhere in a Wisconsin forest an old tree has fallen and a seed pod germinates a new sapling....Rebirth. Just as Severin John Kranz (aka; Zeke, Pooba) a lifelong resident of Milwaukee whose heart remained in the forests and lakes of northern Wisconsin has been born to eternal life on April 20,2006. Severin John Kranz, who was born on September 16th, 1917 to John and Lucy Kranz. He attended St. John Kanty elementary school and graduated from Milwaukee Boy's Technical High School where he learned to make wood furniture, begining his ''love affair'' with nature and trees. After a stint in the United States Army, 101st Airborne during WWII,he became a foreman and tree trimmer with Wisconsin Electric for 37 years. Severin is survived by his ''Babe'', his beloved wife Alvina (Nee Migdal) They were married 56 years. Severin was a loving and devoted father to his son, Douglas (and his partner Eric Hickson). Severin is also survived by loving sisters Dorothy Hampton and Annette Klubertanz. He was preceded in death by his sisters Sophia Reega and Phyllis Rysberg. He was a godfather to many and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was especially fond of his great grand niece Melissa Sells. He is survived by many relatives, friends and neighbors. His family wishes to thank and acknowledge the care and support he received from his neighbors Jeff and Kelly Krebs, his niece Mary Ann Rachow and especially the never ending love and boundless energy of neighbor and friend Mary Zawikowski. The last years of Severin's life were filled with many health challenges...he now joins his departed family and friends as heaven gets ready for some brush to be cleared. The family suggests memorials to his parish, St. Helen Catholic Church. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial St. Helen Catholic Church 3307 So. !0th, Friday April 28th 2006 at 11:00Am.Memorial visitation AT THE CHURCH Friday April 28th from 10 until time of mass.
