Scott Millard Aschauer, aged 68, a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, passed away on July 12, 2024, in West Allis, Wisconsin. Scott was born on March 14, 1956, in Milwaukee, to the late Millard William Aschauer and Sharron Lillian Trupke. He spent his formative years in the city he adored and continued to sprinkle his magic and embellish its beauty throughout his illustrious life.
A man of remarkable creative spirit, Scott pursued a career that tapped into his innate talents and allowed him to express his passion for beauty in everyday things. As a skilled floral designer, Scott had an exceptional ability to transform spaces, creating breathtaking arrangements that told stories. He nurtured his artistic soul beyond floristry, flourishing as an extraordinary painter. His art resonated with those privileged to encounter it, while his hand-painted magnets became treasures to all who received them, each a testament to his thoughtful, loving nature.
Scott's familial bonds were deep and nourishing. A cherished brother to Julie (Greg) Richards and Shelley (Alfred) Balasch, he invested love and joy in his relationships. He took immense delight in being an uncle to Michelle (Peter Kolb) Richards, Kathrine Richards, Jason (Christy) Balasch, and Erik (Matt Pickins) Balasch. Scott was a dear nephew to Karyne (the late Randolph) Bartz, and he will be held dear in memory by a host of cousins, other family members, and close friends, including his lifelong friend, Carol, who stood by him through many of life’s chapters.
Private services will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park to honor the life and legacy of Scott Millard Aschauer—a man who lived his truth through creativity, who loved deeply, and whose kindness transformed the lives around him. As we bid farewell, we are reminded that while his earthly presence is no longer among us, the essence of what made him extraordinary will continue to bloom in the legacy he leaves behind.
