Scott E. Nidy
Found peace at home surrounded by family on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the age of 52. Loving husband of Heidi (nee Makkai). Proud father of Katelin and Wyatt. Devoted son of Gene. Preceded in death by his mother Marti (nee Schauer).
Scott proudly served 24 years 8 months in the US Army. During Active Duty and his time in the Wisconsin National Guard, Scott deployed 5 times, visited 38 countries, trained, served and accomplished more than he ever talked about. He served with the best of the best and considered it an honor to do so. He had the utmost respect for our great country and the brotherhood of those who he served with. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Scott was a great dad and husband. He was a friend to many. He worked hard, lived life to the fullest and didn't miss a chance to tell a joke, share a story or take an adventure. He laughed well and often. So let's not cry that he is gone but smile because he was here. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
