Sandra Lee Wawrzyniak

Wawrzyniak, Sandra Lee Passed into Eternal Life on June 7, 2016 after losing a hard fought battle with lung cancer. She was born on November 8, 1948, the daughter of the late Charlotte and Eugene Robey. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years and best friend John, and her son Michael (Amy Kushner). Sandy retired after a long career with Milwaukee County. Sandy was able to enjoy two years of retirement, a high point being her recent trip to Hawaii. She was an involved member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with fellow church members and participating in the hand bell choir. Hobbies included quilting, crocheting, reading, playing internet games, and constructing puzzles. But her greatest enjoyment was being with her family. A special thank you to Dr. Jella and his staff for their compassionate care; and to the staff at Zilber Hospice for making her last days comfortable. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 12 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church (2507 5th Ave., South Milwaukee, WI). Friends and family may gather at the church prior to the service from 10 AM until 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Sandy's name.
