Ruth Marie Anderson

Anderson, Ruth Marie (nee Kopczynski) Born August 26, 1924 and died February 26, 2010 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late James H. Anderson �Andy�. Dear mother of Ann Marie R. Anderson and the late Jacqueline E. Anderson. Further survived by 3 sisters-in-law; Val A., Mary K. and Nancy K., her special friend Gloria W. (her Vital Statistics Boss), church friends Dorothy K. and Marilyn M., other relatives and friends. Upon graduating from South Division in 1944, Ruth enlisted into the USCG as a �SPAR�. After WWII she was a civilian and worked for the IRS in 1949. To keep up her military status she joined the Naval Reserves where she met Andy. They moved to Groton/New London, CT until Andy�s Naval Retirement. They moved back to Milwaukee where she then worked for the Milwaukee County Sheriff�s office and then City of Milwaukee Health Dept. (Vital Statistics) until she retired in 1984.Her volunteer job for Vital Statistics made her an �Angel� to her co-workers and was a dear correspondent of service people during the Persian Gulf War. Visitation at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3222 S. 29th St., on Thursday, March 4 from 10-11:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Burial at Arlington Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Hunger Task Force, appreciated. Now no more work, no Christmas Cookie bakings and no Polish Sausage makings. Sorry!! She�s at rest, listening to her Country-Western music and with her dear husband Andy. At last!
