Ekegren, Ruth M. "Granny Bird" (nee Slone) Passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. Age 93. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mom of Jeffrey (Julie), Sherry and Christina. Dear grandma of Eryn (Phil), Ryan, Cisco, Rebecca, Alicia, Caitlin, Angel and Liana. Beloved Granny Bird of Antonio, Angelo, Eli, Estraya, Tristina, Javier, Isaiah, Ally, Clara and Wesley. Further survived by her sister Janet, sister-in-law Corinne, nieces nephews and friends. Visitation at Max Sass Funeral Home, South Shore Chapel, Monday, April 20, 4-7pm. Time of sharing at 7pm.
