Ruth Ann Lent, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2024. Ruth leaves behind her husband Jerry of 67 years. Ruth was the loving mother of Pamela (Daniel) McKay, Daniel (Jane) Lent, and Kathryn “Katie” (Todd Hanson) Lent. Ruth was a devoted grandmother to Julie McKay, Lindsey (Kyle) Joseph, Daniel (Maren) McKay, Thomas (Ashley Vollrath) Welch, Lauren (Reggie ) Bell, Sara Welch, and Nicole Welch. Ruth was a great grandmother to Elliana, Raelynn Joseph and Cayden Bell.
Beyond her immediate family Ruth’s life was enriched by the time she spent with her dear cousin Freddy Kopplin and friends. She was a great listener and her presence will be missed by all.
She took her role as homemaker very seriously. Her home was the center of much celebration throughout the years. Ruth took special joy in family birthdays and holidays. Her baked beans were a must for every get together. Her home was the cornerstone of the entire family.
Ruth loved to bowl, fish, camp and spend time at their cabin. She also enjoyed going on bus trips they took. Ruth also enjoyed when she went on “girl trips” with her daughters or out to eat with family. Ruth loved her pets, both cats and dogs which were always present.
Ruth’s absence will be deeply felt and her presence will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she left behind.
The family would like to thank Karen with Aurora at Home Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that she gave to Ruth.
