Roy Norman Kuehl, 97 of Milwaukee, died Sunday, June 13th at Seasons Hospice in Oak Creek. Born to Franz and Jennie (Huff) Kuehl, January 14, 1924, in Black Creek, Wisconsin, Roy was a highly decorated Veteran who proudly served in The United States Army Air Corps (Airforce) as a Radio Operator during World War II, from January 15, 1942 to June 14, 1945. He completed 146 missions on a transport plane in China-Burma-India Theatre and received 9 medals. Roy is survived by his daughter Jennifer K Jepson, granddaughters Jocelynn Schnell-Stewart (Ryan) and Savannah Madison Jepson, 2 great-grandsons, Jayson Apple and Axis Stewart, and his nieces Patricia Bisesi, Carole Mahoney, Joan Palmer, Lois Bishop and Sharon Bishop. He was preceded in death by his sisters Evelyn Johnson, Alfreida Bishop, Margaret Wenzel- Vega, his brother Harvey Kuehl, his half sisters Dorothy, Clara, and Ellen, and his nephews, David and James Bishop. He will be greatly missed by all his friends at Layton Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 16th, from 1PM-3PM at Max A. Sass Funeral Home at 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield.
