Rose Marie McVeigh
March 29, 1932 — February 5, 2025
Rose Marie (nee Plizka) McVeigh, age 92, of Waukesha, Wisconsin has gone home to be with our Lord, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Rose was born on March 29, 1932, on the family farm in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Steve and Helen (nee Wilber) Plizka. They then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she grew up. She married Clifford McVeigh on February 27, 1954. They built a life together in Milwaukee and had three children, Donna, Deb, and Doug. Even though the marriage ended in divorce, they remained close throughout the years.
Rose throughout her life was employed in many diverse types of work. She was an award-winning salesperson for Artex Paint. After Doug was born, she even made doughnuts at Dunkin. She also held accounting positions with various employers over the years. She was Accounts Payable at the Crichton Corporation until the company was sold. When she retired at age 70, she was Treasurer/Account Manager for R L Ryerson.
Rose loved to read and tend to her houseplants and flower garden. She loved to knit, crochet and cross stitch. She sold her handmade items at various craft fairs, often sharing her booth with Jim, her brother. She also loved her kitties.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents: Steve and Helen (nee Wilber) Plizka, her sister Shirley (Ken) Stasiewicz and former husband Clifford McVeigh.
Survivors include brother James (Loretta) Plizka, daughter Donna Wozniak, daughter Debra (Jay) Hermanson, son Douglas McVeigh, grandson Shawn (Christine) Teske, grandson Steven (Ariel) Wozniak, granddaughter Danielle (William) Loeffler, grandson Wesley (Brittany) Wozniak. She has seven great-grandchildren and various extended families that love her.
Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, on Thursday, March 27 from 10 AM - 12 PM. Memorial Service at 12 PM. Private interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Rose/Mom, you are deeply loved and will be missed. Rest in peace.
