Rosalie Singer died in Milwaukee on October 7 at age 94. She was married for 62 years and raised two children. Rosalie graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and attended Mount Mary College. She was an outgoing, artistic person who made friends easily and belonged to numerous clubs and organizations. Among other things she painted, quilted, made dolls and teddy bears and did egg art. She also enjoyed fashion and jewelry and loved to dress up. In retirement Rosalie and her husband wintered in Florida, traveled internationally, had season tickets to Marquette basketball games and were members of the Wisconsin Club. After her husband died, Rosalie lived at Alexian Village in Milwaukee where she participated in many of the activities available there. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Eleanor Marchese; husband Carl Singer, daughter Mary Singer, and brother-in-law Ralph Singer. She is survived by her son James and daughter-in-law Brett Singer of Kent, OH; granddaughter
Rebecca (Eric) Metz and great granddaughter Layla Metz of Kent, OH; brother Patrick (Angeleene) Marchese of Mequon; sister Nancy (Glenn) Grundmann of Kokomo, IN; brother-in-law Norman (Dietlinde) Singer of Bonn, Germany, and many close friends including the Blomquists of Glendale and the Krists of Port Washington. A funeral mass and celebration of life will be held at Alexian Village in the chapel on Saturday October 14 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Alexian Village or the charity of your choice.
