Ronald Lewis Teg

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 25th, 2025 at the age of 92. He was reunited with Gloria Teg (nee Kryfke), his beloved wife of 28 years. Loving father of Jill (Dave) Schlidt and Julie (Chad) O’Meara. Proud grandpa of Justin, Mitchell, Rory, and Emmy. Dear brother of Joan (the late Don) Gabrus, Carol Teg (Patrick Manske), and the late James (the late Stella) Teg. Further survived by loved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ron was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the city's north side. His father had migrated to the United States from Russia. Ron talked of all the fun he had as a kid, including playing stick ball with friends. He graduated from Boys Tech in 1950 and often talked of his days working at the bakery as a young man. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He spent much of his time in the Army on tour in Korea just shortly after the war ended. He talked of the fun he had with his fellow enlistees including target shooting in the dump after hours. Upon returning home, he continued his long career (39 years) at Allen-Bradley where he worked as a tool and die maker. He made many friends at Allen-Bradley and enjoyed after work activities such as trap shooting, which he continued to do until his 90s (and regularly beat his son-in-laws and grand kids - 60 years his junior). As a young man, he enjoyed many adventures, including trips out west with friends on moose and elk hunts. In the mid 1950s, he met the love of his life, Gloria and they were married in 1961. In the mid 1960s, Gloria and Ron had their two daughters, Jill and Julie. New adventures took place as the family regularly took trips around the country, including Disney and visiting cheese making factories wherever they could be found. After 28 years of marriage, life took a tragic turn when Gloria passed away from cancer at a very early age. However, Ron persisted and spent the next 36 years enjoying the company of his family. He regularly traveled to see family and take trips with them, which resulted in trips to the likes of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Reno, Nevada, Toronto, Canada, the Caribbean, Florida and Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He enjoyed shopping and eating with his daughters. He loved their company and loved just hanging out with them. After the birth of his four grandchildren, he loved playing with his grandkids and being with them. One of his favorite tricks was tossing gold dollars coins on the bottom of pools when on vacation, and letting the grandkids find those "treasures.” As the grandkids grew older, he enjoyed shopping, eating and trap/target shooting with them.

Ron was a kind and gentle man his entire life. Even as his health turned in the final months of his life, he always greeted everyone with his always pleasant smile and his big blue eyes.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-South Shore Chapel (1314 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee) on Thursday, March 6th starting at 11AM until time of service at 1PM.
