Ronald James (RJ) Tacke, 91, passed away on December 5, 2022 at the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Milwaukee on October 20, 1931 to Clara V Tacke ( Hottinger ) and Edward J Tacke. Ronald married Ruth M Manthei at Peace Church in Kewaskum on May 31, 1958.
Ronald graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee. He was a multinational sales specialist for Eaton Corporation for 44 years. Ronald enjoyed golf, and participated in a league at the Brown Deer golf course. He also enjoyed camping and hunting, and was a member of the Wisconsin Buck and Bear hunting club. When Ronald was younger, he played softball and coached the Brown Deer UCC softball team, and also frequently camped with the Brown Deer UCC camping group. Ron and Ruth traveled extensively, including visits to Russia and Ireland, and did cruises through Alaska and on the Rhine River. Ron loved nature and enjoyed spending time on his land in Adams County.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Bender and brother, Terry Tacke.
Ron is survived by his wife Ruth; his daughter, Susan Lowrey ( Matthew ); sons: Michael Tacke ( Shellie ); and Steve Tacke ( Colleen ); grandchildren: Megan Arens ( Chance ); Melissa Tacke; Carter Tacke and Gavin Tacke; and nieces and nephews.
