Ronald Lee Morrow

September 8, 1953 — July 21, 2023

Ronald Lee Morrow, lovingly known as Ron, was born on September 8, 1953, in Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully in his beloved home state on July 21, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ron was known for his funny, thoughtful, and selfless nature. He was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife Karen (Tabaka), and his cherished children Christopher Morrow, Melissa (Matthew) Lietha, Nicole (John) Huckstorf, and Jason (Wendy) Kleibor. He was the proud brother of DuWane Morrow, Debra (James) Phillips, the late John (Mary Ellen) Morrow,

and Patricia (Paul) Pfersch. Ron was the adoring grandfather of Mackenzie, Morgan, Kaylee, Colby, Kara, Zoey, Micah, Myles, and Millie, and he is further survived by many nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Theresa Morrow.

Ron graduated from Boys Tech High School in 1971 and furthered his education at UW-Stout College for two years. As a high school swimmer, he made waves by earning awards and setting records in the Freestyle Relay and individual Medley. His love for the water was only surpassed by his passion for his work.

Ron had a successful career in construction, where he served as an operating engineer at his retirement. His dedication to his craft was evident in his active involvement in the International Union of Operating Engineers 139 and the Laborers Union Local 113. He took great pride in his work and was highly regarded by his colleagues for his work ethic and commitment.

Beyond his professional life, Ron had a passion for carpentry work and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a knack for creating beautiful pieces of work, which are cherished by his family and friends. Ron enjoyed singing loud and proud to his favorite oldies and country music.

Ron had a sweet tooth that was legendary among his family and friends. His fondness for desserts was well known, with oatmeal cookies, famous family cheese bars, apple pie, chocolate cake, and Door County cherry turnovers being among his favorites. His love for these sweet treats brought a sense of warmth and comfort to family gatherings, and his enthusiastic enjoyment was a sight to behold.

Ron's life was marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to his family and work. His legacy of love, hard work, and passion for life will live on in the hearts and minds of those he has left behind. His humor, thoughtfulness, and selfless nature will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in remembering Ron's remarkable life and the joy he spread to all those around him. He was a beacon of light in this world, and his memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts. Ronald Lee Morrow will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. We celebrate his life and the love and happiness he brought to us all.
