Ronald "Rosa" A. Mucha, known to friends and family as Ron, was a man who brought laughter to everyone he met. Born on May 27, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI, Ron lived a full and vibrant life until he passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 28, 2023, in Franklin, WI. He was 86 years young.
Ron was a true South Side Milwaukee native, he shared many comical and mischievous stories of his childhood times with this buddies near Holt playground. He graduated from Boys Tech High School, where he excelled in basketball, track and many other sports. He was proud to be Polish and once served as the president of Northern Fraternal Life Insurance (Polish Association). He will be remembered as always quick with a joke and his sense of humor was infectious. Ron was a generous man and throughout his life would lend a helping hand to those in need. For anyone who knew Ron knew he was a ”straight shooter” and lived his life to the fullest.
Ron's love story with his late wife, Barbara Ann (nee Kulinski), was one for the ages. They met when he started working in maintenance at Allen Bradley, changing light bulbs, and she was the brightest one of all. They enjoyed 58 years of “wedded bliss” together, and their love stayed strong through so many good times and all the challenges along the way. Ron is now reunited with his beautiful Barbara Ann in God's loving arms.
As a proud father, Ron leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his children: Lynn Mucha, Gail Mucha (the late John) Cherney, and Dawn (Patrick) Obenauf. His grandchildren, Erica, Jacob (Julie), Emily, Aaron, Moss, Anya, Matthew, and Sarah, will always remember their grandpa's funny stories, his “way with words” and his jokes.
Ron's life was filled with interesting experiences and accomplishments. He proudly served our country in the US Army and went on to become a skilled tool and die maker. He practiced his trade at Allen Bradley, Badger Tool and Die and retired from AC Delco as part of the Employee Assistance Program. Ron was also a dedicated friend of Bill W. for 41 years, and his commitment to helping others was truly inspiring.
A man of many interests, Ron was an avid all-around sports fan and a collector of baseball memorabilia. He loved a good Potawatomi run or making the trip up north when the Northwoods were calling. His beloved dog, Abby, was his constant companion in the later years, and together they brought joy to everyone they met.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Helen (nee Przychocki) Mucha, and his siblings Dolores, LeRoy, Gerald, and Robert. He is further survived by other family members and friends of Bill W.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of Ron's friends for checking in on and visiting him, especially his friends Tom and Fred. They would also like to express their gratitude to Legacy Hospice and Autumn Leaves for their wonderful care.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral Home, Mission Hills Chapel, on Thursday, June 8, from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 noon. Private burial will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to The Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched and the many hearts he warmed with his humor and kindness.
