They were married on September 6, 1952 in Milwaukee WI. Romaine was then blessed with an additional loving family - The Knepper's. Soon after their marriage they built their forever home and settled in St. Francis, WI. She resided there for over 63 years.
Romaine dedicated her life to raising her children Randy, Eileen and Laurie. She loved camping, taking numerous trips across the country with her family before finally settling on a vacation campground in West Bend, WI.
She kept her sense of humor throughout her life and found joy in greeting people with, "I'm Romaine lettuce be friends”.
