Mr. Robert Lewis Wilson, age 80, a resident of Milwaukee, died January 12, 2018. While his career followed a different path, he was a chemist at heart, manifested in his enthusiasm for wine and beer making. He was a charter member of the Wisconsin Vintners Association and Beer Barons of Milwaukee, as well as a certified judge for the American Wine Society. He had a passion for the outdoors. He was a long-time volunteer with the Wehr Nature Center, an active member with the Riveredge Nature Center, Metro Audubon Society, Wild Ones Natural Landscapers, and numerous other conservation organizations. In 1963 he married Marlene Kleinschmidt, who pre-deceased him in 1982. They had two children, Brent (Elizabeth) Wilson and Kaaren (Donald) Hagen, who survive. In 1986 he married Kathy Young, who pre-deceased him in 1991. He is also survived by three siblings, Dorothy (the late Bill) Perpich, Rosemary (Doug) Meske, Barbara (Dale) Levinson, an extended family of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend Mary Ann Kniep.
