Robert J. "Bob" Sranske

September 18, 1940 — February 22, 2024

Robert J. “Bob” Sranske passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, at the age of 83, in Muskego, Wisconsin.

Bob is now reunited with his beloved wife, Kathleen, who he has missed so dearly since her passing in 2019. He is also reunited with his younger brother, James Sranske. Bob was the loving father of Lori (Bruce) Sullivan, Michael (Meg), and David (Amy). He was the treasured grandfather of Samantha (Max) Elert, Jared, Ben, Emma, Brooke, and Ava. His warmth, wisdom, and generosity of spirit will be dearly missed. Bob's life was further enriched by the companionship of other relatives and friends whose lives he touched.

Bob attended Marquette University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, proudly cheering on the Marquette Warriors. His education laid the foundation for a life of service and achievement. Bob's commitment to his country was unwavering; he was a Navigator on a B52 in the United States Air Force for five years. He last served in the 736th Bomb Sq. During his tenure, he flew in over 100 combat missions and served with distinction in the Vietnam War.

After his military service, Bob began his career as a Computer Technician with Wisconsin Electric Power Company, where he worked for 36 years until his job was eliminated and was forced into retirement.  He also had an incredible 53 years of serving the community as a Tax Preparer, a testament to his selfless nature and desire

to assist others.

Bob's love of gardening was rooted in his early days as a Mitchell Park Attendant. Bob's garden was an expression of his generous spirit, as he always shared the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

Described by those who knew him as faith-filled, generous, selfless and intelligent, Bob lived a life that exemplified these virtues. His generosity extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew him. Bob's selflessness was evident in the way he put the needs of others before his own, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His intelligence was not just in his academic and professional achievements but also in the thoughtful advice and deep conversations he shared with those around him.  The love for his grandchildren extended to the countless activities (sporting, dance, band, and graduations to name a few) he attended to support them.

Bob's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his influence will continue to resonate in the lives of his family and friends. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose, kindness, and a deep commitment to the values he held dear.

As we bid farewell to Robert J. “Bob” Sranske, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with him and the countless ways he enriched our lives. His memory will be cherished and honored, a guiding light for generations to come.  In lieu of flowers, donations to our Walk to End Alzheimer's Team at act.alz.org/goto/KaysKrusaders would be appreciated.
