Robert Eugene Ethier was born to Eugene Ethier and Josephine Miller on October 03, 1929. Beloved brother of the late Theodore “Ted” (the late Marion) and the late Catherine (the late Bill) Wall.
Robert and his siblings and cousins played downstairs while the adults played Sheepshead upstairs at Grandma Miller’s.
Bob Graduated from Messmer High School in 1947 and later graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Electrical engineering. He married his first wife, Genevieve, and moved to Washington state. He was employed in the Navy Yard in Bremerton, WA. Both his daughter, the late Annette, and son, Larry (Marlene) were born there. They later moved back to Milwaukee and Bob worked at Louis Allis until he retired. He was also a partner in Poner Transmission products.
Bob met Dolores at St. Mary’s SWD meeting in 1987 and they were married at the same church in 1989. Bob and Dolores were lifetime members of the Vagabond Ski Social Club and enjoyed many activities and travels. Bob was a volunteer at Old World WI for over 25 years.
He loved fishing but his number 1 love was pickleball, playing with his best friend Dave Iselin. Bob and Dolores loved spending winters in AZ.
Bob is survived by his wife Dolores, his son Larry (Marlene) and their children Katherine and Andy, and the late Annette’s children Eric, Keith, Karl, Joyce, and, Jennifer, his stepchildren, Jim (Sandy) O’Brien, Robert (Lori) O’Brien and Jeaneen (Jeff) Teschendorf, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter Annette Ethier.
