Gallow, Robert Edward "Bob" Joined his beloved wife Audrey, on September 7th, 2015, at the age of 83. Robert was born to Edward and Julia Gallow (nee Horbinski) on May 26, 1932 in Crivitz, WI. There he was raised alongside his sister, Adeline, and brother, Bernard, on their family farm. In 1952, Robert married his beloved wife, Audrey. Together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage prior to Audrey's unfortunate passing in April, 2014. Robert proudly served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1961. They spent most of their lives living and working in Wisconsin, at one point owning their own flower shop on the east side of Milwaukee. Among others, Bob worked at AC Delco Electronics, before retiring from Pabst Brewing Company. They took up residence in the retirement community of Sun City, AZ in the 1990's. They were fortunate to travel to many exotic places, including Korea, Africa, Russia, and most, if not all, of the United States. They generously shared their good fortune with their entire extended families by taking them on week and weekend vacations, including two family cruises! Aside from travel, they loved animals dearly, supporting several charitable organizations. They also enjoyed moving and remodeling homes. Although Bob and Audrey had no children of their own, they lovingly cared for and helped all of their nieces and nephews, as if their own. There were many family gatherings and trips to Wisconsin Dells, where "Uncle Bob" was behind the camera, capturing and preserving those precious moments for many years to come. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing, even getting a hole-in-one! He was often heard saying, "If you golf long enough, you are bound to get a hole-in-one eventually"! Unfortunately, Bob developed Macular Degeneration and Dementia in his later years. In spite of this, he remained the good-hearted, kind, generous, fun-loving, jokester he always was. He liked hamburgers, ice cream (and most any dessert), listening and singing to music, and spending time with and holding the hands of his loved ones. He was truly one-of-a-kind. He will be missed by so many, but he is finally at peace with his wife, brother, parents, passed pets, and other loved ones. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, parents Edward and Julia Gallow (nee Horbinski), brother Bernard, along with nephews Chuck DeMarte and Gregory DeMarte. Robert is fondly remembered and survived by his sister, Adeline Haberlein, of New Berlin, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. The family is greeting friends and relatives from 9:30-11:30am, with a Memorial Service immediately following on Saturday, October 24th, 2015, at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home-Mission Hills Chapel, located on the corner of Drexel and Loomis in Franklin, WI. The family appreciates memorial donations made to the Alzheimer's Association, charities for the Visually Impaired or any animal charity.
