Robert E. Stolpe

October 15, 1949 — July 4, 2023

Robert E Stolpe, best known to all as "Bob" passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the age of 73. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Mary Stolpe.Bob was a loving and devoted husband to Jean Jeffrey (Ginger) for 35 years. Cherished brother of Sharon (Joseph) Troia, Jane (Greg) Rizzo, Ann Stolpe and brother-in-law to Jane Dolan and the late Deborah Esway and Guy Bello. Further survived by many nieces and nephews. He had many friends, some known since going

to Greenfield High School.

For many years Bob had a successful career as a quality control inspector at A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive. He was also a carpenter’s apprentice with the Findorff Construction Company and helped build the Pettit Ice Center in West Allis. He pursued an interest in Computer Science in the mid 1980’s and achieved an Associate degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Bob was able to retire at an age that allowed him to enjoy his passions. He loved playing golf and tennis and worked as a golf starter at Zablocki Park. He enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and college sports teams. He was an excellent cook and BBQ king and each summer Bob would grow amazing tomatoes

that he shared with family and neighbors. He was also the perfect dog Dad to three West Highland White terriers.

He and Ginger loved to travel to Arizona and the California Desert area each winter and to Door County in the summer where golf and favorite restaurants were always on the agenda.

Bob was always quick to help anyone in his family that was in need, whether helping his parents with chores around their home, chauffeuring his mother- and father-in-law to a nice dinner or walking his niece’s dogs.

He always saw the positive side of things and had a special subtle sense of humor. Bob will be deeply missed.
